JAPAN FUND FOR POVERTY REDUCTION (JFPR) PROJECT
Improving the Livelihoods of Poor Farmers and Disadvantaged Groups in the Eastern Development Region - The JFPR Project is a counterpart project of CADP whose objectives are to (a) improve the livelihoods of the rural poor in the agriculture sector, and (b) increase participation in the development process in the Eastern Development Region.
The project areas include Dhankuta, Morang, Saptari and Sunsari districts where it will reach 12,000 very poor people.
The Project has three major components:
(i) Social Mobilisation and Adult Literacy Program,
(ii) Strengthening of Income Generating Activities, and
(iii) Support to Capacity Building of Stakeholders.
